Understanding from definition
First of all, by definition, the inverter is a power control device that converts the power frequency power source into another frequency by using the on/off function of the power semiconductor device, it can realize the functions of soft start, variable frequency speed regulation, improve running accuracy and change power factor of AC asynchronous motor.
The frequency inverter can drive the variable frequency motor and the common AC motor, it mainly acts as a regulator of motor speed.
The servo system is an automatic control system that enables an output controlled amount of an object to follow an arbitrary change of an input target (or a given value). Non-electromagnetic is divided into magnetic hysteresis, permanent magnet and reactive. Permanent magnet synchronous motor compared with asynchronous motor, it uses high-magnet excitation to eliminate the excitation loss and related stray loss, so the efficiency is high. Moreover, because there is no collector ring and brush required for the electromagnetic synchronous motor, the mechanical reliability is the same as that of the induction (asynchronous) motor, and the power factor is much higher than that of the asynchronous motor, so that the volume ratio of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is asynchronous. The motor is smaller. This is because at low speeds, the induction (asynchronous) motor has a much higher apparent power than the apparent power, because the power factor is low and the output of the same active power is much larger.

3. Different applications
Frequency conversion and servo are two categories of control. The former belongs to the field of transmission control, and the latter belongs to the field of motion control.
